This unique wall is a tribute to all men and women, who served in peace time or during conflict in America's Military Forces. A 2.5 acre hilltop site directly behind the historical buildings at Heritage Park will be the setting for the monument. Old Glory, the 50 State flags and flags of the Military Services will provide color and pageantry for the focal point, an 80 foot long granite wall. Highlighting the wall will be laser engraved depictions of various scenes of battle and service by our military, famous quotes by our nation's leaders and excerpts from inspirational poems.

Facing the Veterans Wall will be a special plaza dedicated to the POW/MIA's of all services. This area will consist of two smaller granite walls and a circular plinth bearing the POW/MIA flag. The plaza will serve as a route to a winding foot path that crosses a creek symbolizing those who have been lost in military action but remain in the hearts of their families, friends and a grateful nation. The Veterans Wall of Honor exists to bring people together in a place that will forever remember our Veterans.

The construction of the Wall of Honor is being funded by grants, donations and the purchases of commemorative bricks. Stokes-Morris American Legion Post No. 33 in Stockbridge, Georgia is sponsoring the fundraising portion of the project. Everyone will be able to contribute to its construction by purchasing a brick that can be inscribed with up to 3 lines of print (14 letters, characters or spaces per line) for $35.00 and  12" by 12" bricks with up to 4 lines of text (16 letters, characters or spaces per line) for $175.00.
