Q1: Is my brick purchase tax deductible? A1: Yes! Since you will not take delivery of your brick, and your contribution is going to build this 501(C)(19) project.
Q2: May I use a credit card to purchase bricks? A2: Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Personal or Corporate checks and Money Orders.
Q3: I don't trust credit card orders over the Web, Is there an alternative? A3: We use a secure server to process all our orders, however we do provide a way to send in your order via U.S. Mail. Also, for those placing online orders, YOUR CANCELLED CHECK OR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT WILL BE CONFIRMATION OF YOUR BRICK ORDER
Q4: What are the brick sizes available and their prices? A4: We are offering two brick sizes, 4" x 8" for a $35 contribution (pre-dedication) and $50 (post-dedication), or the 12" x 12" for a $175 contribution.
Q5: Are veterans the only people allowed to purchase bricks? A5: NO, we are offering bricks to the public at large, however the Grand Staircase and Veterans Walk will be comprised only of Veterans bricks.
Q6: What can be inscribed on the bricks? A6: The 4" x 8" brick can have up to 3 lines with 14 characters per line, and the larger 12" x 12". brick can have 4 lines with up to 16 characters per line. Remember that spaces, dashes, comma's, etc., count as a used character.
Q8: I do not know what to have inscribed on the brick, can you give me some examples? A8: For those commemorating Military Service usually the persons name, rank and/or branch of the military, and the years served is standard. For Non-military commemorative bricks, usually the persons name, and any message they want to send, space provided.
Q9: When is the wall due to be completed? A9: The tentative date of the dedication is scheduled for late 2006. Completion of the project is subject to cash donations, brick orders, weather conditions and schedule of construction contractors and companies who are volunteering their time and materials.
